On May 14th of last year, the annual naval parade of the CGN took place on Lake Geneva. But this year was quite special because in addition to the usual parade, the company was celebrating its 150th anniversary. It was an opportunity to remind the crowds, who came in large numbers to admire the procession, about the importance of heritage preservation. It was also the day chosen by the Municipality to celebrate (although with a two-year delay) the 65th anniversary of the twinning between the city of Morges and Vertou in France.

The Human Impulse team was present and set up an information tent in front of the Morges Castle to showcase the incredible adventure that Louis Margot is about to embark on. He came with his boat to physically demonstrate the vessel he would be using to cross the ocean, which will be his home during the months at sea. The expected crowd for the event showed up, and many people stopped by the tent to share a beer, meet Louis, and discuss his project with him. “Seeing the enthusiasm of the children climbing aboard the boat, as well as having my family and friends gathered around this event, brought me immense joy,” said the 31-year-old resident of Morges. “Such an event allows us to gain visibility but also to engage with people and address their questions,” he concluded.
