Even though Switzerland doesn’t have access to the sea, it has its Swiss Coastal Rowing Championships.

Yes, this event does indeed exist. It took place for the second consecutive year in Lausanne. It was on Lake Geneva that the athletes rowed, but not in the usual boats… they used coastal rowing boats, which are heavier, wider, and especially more stable. This is necessary to face the whims of the sea.

This edition was therefore the perfect opportunity to present the boat that will circumnavigate the world with Louis starting next autumn.

However, bringing the boat was a formidable logistical challenge for the Human Impulse team.

Once on site, this multi-purpose bullet-shaped monster quickly caught the attention of many spectators who had come to watch the competition. After engaging in enlightening conversations with the public, Louis was able to test his boat with the invaluable assistance of his team.

The return to the dock was met with excitement from the enthusiastic children, who were eager to climb aboard and jump around. Louis described this day, with a hint of irony, as exhausting as going around the world.

Human Impulse would like to express its gratitude to Lausanne Sport Aviron for organizing the event, as well as to all the people who lent a helping hand in setting up. It was an important day that allowed Louis’s project and the entire Human Impulse team to be concretely known.
